In-kennel Training/Board and Train Programs

Good Companion Dog Program

Do want a dog that listens on walks and a joy to live with the home? Do you have a hyper dog that needs to learn to calm down in the home? Do you have a dog that needs to gain some confidence? This is program that will accomplish that goal. Your dog will learn all of the basic obedience commands (sit, down, stay, heel, and come) on leash. Some dogs are already working some off leash by the end of this program. Your dog will also learn the “climb” command, which requires the dog to stay on a dog bed, for example, until released. Basic manners (jumping, bolting out of doors, chewing, etc ) will be worked on, along with the “give” and “leave-it” command for those situations your dog needs to give up an item or stay away from an item. A medium to high energy dog will be bike and treadmill trained.  This program is also good for a dog that is a little shy or reactive to other dogs or people and would benefit with some socialization work.  Your dog will be well started towards becoming  well behaved pet that is a joy to have around. You will still be required to keep up with the training at home but this program gives you a great start. Puppies enrolled in this program continue with housebreaking, cratetraining, and socialization work. This is a board and train program that is 2 weeks long. It comes with 2 additional private lessons that can be used anytime. This has the added advantage of you being able to board your dog with me, provided I have room. Training is refreshed, while the dog is here.  Evaluation is required.

Cost: $1000 with some training equipment included.

Great Companion Dog Program

Do want a dog that is a joy to take out in public and is off leash obedience reliable?  This is the program for you. Your dog will learn everything in the Good Companion Dog Program. This program just continues this to off leash obedience training and longer duration for the “stay” command. Your dog will practice obedience out and about in public situations to proof commands and create a dog that is well behaved in public. This program is also great for dogs that need some socialization work on shyness or reactivity towards other dogs or people. Your dog will be well started to being a well behaved, calm dog that you can take out into public. You will still be required to maintain the training at home but this gives you a great start. Puppies enrolled in this program continue with housebreaking, cratetraining, and socialization work. This is a board and train program that is 4 weeks long. It comes with 4 additional private lessons that can be used anytime. This has the added advantage of you being able to board your dog with me, provided I have room. Severe Rehabilitation or Behavior Modification

Do you have a dog that has a high level of dog aggression and has maybe attacked another dog in the past? Do you have a dog that has a high level of human aggression and has maybe bitten in the past?  Is your dog suffering from a high level of anxiety? If you say yes to any of these questions, this is the program for you. You dog will learn everything in the Great Companion Dog Program. Your dog will be put through a confidence building and obedience program designed to help your dog relax and feel safer in the world. In a large majority of cases with socialization work, the dog will turn into a social animal that is a joy to have around. The stress the dog carries around with them will be substantially lessoned. If the dog is less stressed, your life will be so much more enjoyable together.  You may be required to change some aspects of your lifestyle or routine, so be prepared for that to happen. You will still be required to maintain the training at home but this gives you a great start. This is a board and train program that is 8-10 weeks long. It comes with lifetime support in private lessons that can be used anytime. This has the added advantage of you being able to board your dog with me, provided I have room. Training is refreshed, while the dog is here. Evaluation is required. I only take one dog on at a time for this program, so be prepared that you might be waitlisted. Contact me for pricing.

Working Dog/Service Dog Program

This is a program that imprints a puppy/dog for working or competition sports. This program is geared more towards future service dogs but can be used for other working areas too. There is a high level of socialization in this program. Obedience on a more advanced level will be taught. Basic Manners, crate training, and housetraining are all part of this program too. Owner will be required to come for weekly lessons to work with the dog and to stay on board with training. Once the initial bulk is done, the handler/dog team will need to still come for weekly lessons to continue with the rest of training and to make sure the team is working well together. Formal evaluation must be done. I will not accept a dog into this program that I don't believe is able to do the work that is wanted from it or a dog that I don't believe the handler will be able to handle. I have strict requirements for the dogs in my program. I don't just train any dog. So if you have a current dog that you will like trained, be aware that your dog may not pass my requirements. I will require genetic and structure health testing, if it is needed. While there is nothing wrong with a rescue or mixed breed for service work, I would prefer to know something about the parents temperament and health, especially health testing (For example, hips/elbows/eyes/hearing, etc) for purebred dogs.   I do not train psychiatric service dogs, as I do not have enough training in this area yet, but I do train emotional support animals. These two types have similar but different functions. Contact me for pricing.
