Here are some testimonials from my clients:
When our beloved Schnauzer of 14 years had to be put to sleep unexpectedly, we acted on emotion rather than good common sense. Within 10 days we had a new 7 week old Schnauzer puppy with our daughter's Destination Wedding in Florida weeks away. Having had 3 Schnauzers before we thought we knew Schnauzers pretty well. Boy, were we wrong!!! This puppy was a holy terror. We had bite marks all over our hands and arms. We had to take off our shoes because we couldn't stop her from pouncing on our shoes. Then she would pounce on our bare feet which really hurt!! Walk her? Sure, if you wanted to stop every 3 steps while she sat down or lure her down the street with treats. I had a stack of books from the library on training but nothing was working. Then on the advice of our very wise Vet we decided to leave her with Katie. Within a week our older daughter called and said that Lucy our puppy had visited the nursing home where she worked with Katie and Katie's therapy dog and was sitting in the residents laps acting like a perfect lady. While we were gone Katie patiently answered our calls and calmed our separation anxiety. She trained Lucy to walk nicely on the leash, sit, lie down and climb on a bench and stay. She even taught her how to swim! When we returned and pulled into our driveway, my husband said"Well, life as we now know it is over". It was but not as we expected. We brought home a loving, manageable, well trained, yet highly energetic dog thanks to Katie. She included 4 lessons afterward to train us and even included our mentally challenged older daughter. We can't say enough about all that she did for Lucy and for us.

THIS IS A CHRISTMAS CARD I RECEIVED:
During this Christmas season when I reflect on God sending His son Jesus to this earth for all mankind, I also reflect on all the goodness I have received all year. I want to thank you Kay for all your giving of time and your experience to help me and Dave with Shadow. I do believe Shadow is a gift from God and that God has given you a gift of knowing what these animals need. Thank you for all your insight, extra time, and phone calls to help me be a better partner with Shadow. God bless you and your family for helping so many animals and people. Wishing you a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Shadow, German Shepherd.
Working with Kay has been a great experience for my whole family. Kay is not only a good trainer, but she is very knowledgeable about animal behavior. We have met with her at least seven times since we began training two of the dogs in our care, and she has made us feel like training is a team effort. She has been very generous with her time, giving us more than the allotted one hour session if we have more questions. Kay’s training is reasonably priced, she has flexible hours, and she is very available and easy to reach by phone. Since we met Kay in December of 2010, she has not only helped us train two dogs, she has helped four other dogs because of our recommendation. Kay treats the dogs very well---you can tell that she loves animals! Since we work with rescue for Save Ohio Strays, we are hoping to be able to work with Kay for many years to come. She has already been a great help to the organization as well as our own personal dogs. We have learned so much from her!

My German Sheperd Mix, Mollie was always fearful of tall men, but over the years, her anxiety and fear have gotten worse. She has been taunted by a neighborhood young man who should know better, and finally got to the poin where she snapped at him out of fear. Mollie has previously had lots of obedience training, and even earned her Good Canine Citizenship award at 3 years old. She was a wonderful family dog, but just was afraid of everything, and it was starting to affect my ability to take her anyway or even let her out in the yard on a tie out when the family was outside. I volunteer with a rescue group (Save Ohio Strays) and they recommended Kay for training. She zeroed in on Mollie's problem right away and had great insights. As I was going on vacation with family, I was so worried how she would do during the 2 week "in kennel" program. She also had great seperation anxiety. The first few days were rough on her, and progressed slowly. But she made such progress after 2 weeks! I couldn't believe the difference. She was so much more relaxed, greated strangers with little to no fear and learned the "climb" command which worked amazing when strangers came to visit! She completed another week while I was out of town on business and she has done just beautifully. Mollie has gone from an anxious, scared and insecure dog to an outgoing happy dog. The ability to share my life with Mollie without worries is a priceless gift, and I would recommend Kay to anyone. She truly is the Cesar Millan of the Medina area.

Tucker was only 3 months old and had already lived with another family when we got him. When we brought him home we quickly found out that he had already established several bad habits (sitting on the furniture, chewing everything, barking all the time….. ok you get the picture!) We tried a lot of different things to attempt to correct his behavior. The spray bottle, was our first try but he LOVES water & thought it was a game! He did bad things because he liked being sprayed! Next we went to Cleveland All Breeds Training Center. He did improve, but not enough. I was at the end my rope. New Year’s Day he jumped on the kitchen table and stole the pork roast! The friend that connected me with Tucker, suggested we give Kay a call. Well I am happy we did! He has actually had a 100% turn around – even friends that said the training would never work agreed! He sits, stays and listens to me! He walks with me and my older dog without pulling. He actually seems to have more respect for my older dog. The MOST impressive thing, he would literately go crazy at feeding time and practically tackle you before his dish hit the ground. After two weeks with Kay, he sits until I allow. Kay is NE Ohio’s own dog whisperer! She connects with dog in an amazing way! I highly recommend Kay and have already passed her number on to my friends!

Ms. Gracie, just finished her 8 week session with Kay. She is an English lab and was a very strong willed 3 month old and hard to handle. Today she is 5 months old and sits, stays, plays with me in the backyard off the leash. Kay not only taught Ms. Gracie, but she also taught ME so much. I learned so much about puppy behavior. Felt like I had a little person here instead of a puppy. Kay would spend over the allotted hour to answer all my questions and would give Ms. Gracie group sessions with her dogs, Shawnee and Rocky who at the end Ms. Gracie learned to play with rather then attack them. I feel Ms. Gracie and I have found not only a trainer in Kay but a friend.
I worked with an Australian Cattle Dog in conjunction with Elite K911 Training. This is a testimonial we both received.
I have to share with you... You know how crazy Leo was this time last year when I took him through agility. If it weren't for yours and Chuck's help and guidance Leo would not be the dog he is today. His obedience is great, he is sooo much calmer, and to top things off Chuck and I have started using Leo with some temp testing of some reactive dogs and socials. He greets new dogs calmly and appropriately, let's them investigate him, calmly tries to interact but gives space as needed and takes correction from them and us very well. We used him two or three times this week alone and will probably continue to use him more. He is learning how to read dogs and I could not be more proud of the dog he has become. If I went back to this time last year and you told me this is the dog he would become I would have laughed. Sure he still has his quirks and bad habits but I can honestly say I am proud of him and the dog he has become. There are two really defining moments with Leo's training in my eyes... Starting to do tug work with him and e-collar. And sure lots of things in between, but those two is where I saw the most growth and advancement to "next steps" per say. So thank you for your part in helping me and Leo."

All of my family members wanted a dog except for me. I was out-voted- we got a dog. We had heard about a dog trainer named Kay from our friends. Since our puppy, Ruger needed some training we decided to give Kay a call and line up some classes. Kay took the time to meet with my family and Ruger. We discussed our needs as well as Ruger’s. Kay informed us that she could take Ruger for 2 weeks and work on his confidence, basic obedience commands, basic manners and socialization. Thanks to Kay, who I refer to as the Medina Dog Whisperer, Ruger came back a new dog! To keep this “new dog” we had to continue building on the foundation that Kay built. fter a few weeks we met again as a family to check on the progress we had made with Ruger. This experience was the best thing we could have done. When people come to our house they always comment on how we have such a great dog that obeys. When we leave for vacations, Ruger goes to Kay’s. He loves it because he gets to play all day with dogs. I love it because I know he is in good hands. Needless to say, the idea of having a dog has grown on me. He is like a kid- you can’t just leave him with anybody. You have to leave him with someone you can trust. For us, Kay is that person. I always recommend Kay to family members and friends.
